The admission in Delhi University is done either through entrance exam (DUET) or on merit basis. The merit basis here is based on the 10+2 marks that the students have secured. Delhi University UG Admission 2019:
The hopefuls can apply for confirmation in top colleges in Delhi University in Arts, Commerce, and Science stream based on legitimacy. DU announces the cut off at its official site and its notice board. A year ago, around 10 cutoffs were announced for UG Merit-based Admission.
Merit-based admission procedure for top colleges in Delhi University:
The admission procedure for the UG merit-based courses is divided into six phases – Online Registration, Release of Cutoffs, Selection of Colleges/Programmes, Verification of documents at Colleges, Approval of admission, Online payment of admission fee.
Online registration:
The students need to fill the online form with all the necessary details first. They should upload the necessary documents required. The fee for the application should also be paid online.
Release of Cutoffs:
The University generally announces the cutoffs for colleges in Delhi University on its official site. The site is admission.ac.in. The same can also be found on the respective college notice boards.
Selection of Colleges:
Those candidates who have met the criteria will need to login to the UG admission portal that is available using their respective registration account and select their preferred top college in Delhi University that they want to get admitted into.
Verification of Documents:
The candidates are required to check the schedule for document verification online at the DU admission website. The candidates need to report to the selected colleges along with the printed admission form and the required documents.
Approval of Admission:
Once the verification of documents commences, the respective college will retain the original certificates of an approved candidate. The approval of admission is shown in the UG admission portal.
Online Payment:
Finally, the selected candidates need to log in to the admission portal and pay the required amount for their respective college.
The merit criteria aren’t the only way to getting admitted into top colleges of Delhi University, the University also offers several undergraduate (UG) programmes based on an entrance examination conducted by the University themselves called the DUET. Candidates vying for admission to such UG courses can apply through the Web Portal for centralized registration and pay the fee amount through available online payment methods.
